Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) My goodness! What a mixture ! Crayfish, spiced sausage, chicken, octopus, white fish, and some other meat I can't identify. Acid-free tomatoes and parsley. It would be great to see the recipe !
An interesting dominance of red in the shot.
In my opinion, the selective focus has worked very well in this shot; emphasising the important parts of the picture and leaving the rest somewhat to imagination. Just like art paintings.

Comment left by: Jay Drew (no e-mail specified) The fact that the portion of the plate nearest the camera is out of focus bothers me, so I agree with Chuck about using a tripod for a longer exposure to get a smaller f-stop. The decision for not using a flash is correct, the shadow detail on both sides of the plate would have been lost.
