Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Good shot! In addition to a nice, even bokeh, and just right depth of field, Will's expression tells a whole story in itself. Nice work!

Comment left by: Eric Pederson (epederso@darkwing.uoregon.edu) Wonderfully expressive! Normally one might prefer slightly less texture behind the face, but since it is blurry and pattern-like, this texture seems to emphasize what I imagine for the somewhat worried mental state of the boy.

Comment left by: Bruce Nipp (btwnipp@arn.net) Really good photography work!! The important part of any good work is the subject. The piece has caught the essence of the subject's state of mind at just the right moment. Black and White format reinforces the overall exemplary work at catching his true expression.

Comment left by: Andrew Fildes (afildes@netlink.com.au) Love the way the darker background on the left punches out the highlit side of the face. Exquisite child shot - the formal clothing counterpoints his ?uncertainty.
Why Scala at a wedding?

Comment left by: Ray Moth (ray_moth@yahoo.com) I find the lighting in this portrait to be superb. It's also a good candid shot, showing facial expression and character that one would probably never be able to get in a formally posed portrait. Bokeh is great too.

Comment left by: Jay Maynard (jmaynard@conmicro.cx) Will may not like this picture much, and his parents are probably equivocal...to me, it feels more like photojournalism than portraiture. The background adds to that feel.

Comment left by: Barry H (bhinderks@sprint.ca) Love the lighting. He's just waiting. Great shot.

Comment left by: Winsor Crosby (wincros@bigfoot.com) I keep coming back and looking at this wonderful portrait of Will. You can really see the man in the child with the little bit of puzzlement over what he is seeing and his brain working hard and showing on his face. I would be really proud to have taken this.
