very smooth, considering lighting and the infamous 50/3.5

This one doesn't work quite as well for me because the subject doesn't stand out from its background quite as well, particularly at the upper left of the yellow part fo the flower, where you have to look closely to see where the subject stops and the background starts. Still, the 50/3.5's bokeh doesn't detract from the image.

Nice shot. I think increasing the depth-of-field a bit would make it better.
