Technical information:	This is a first attempt at macro photography, not taken with bokeh in mind but it shows it nicely. Hand held, and a ****** to shoot because the flower kept blowing about in the wind!

i can only wish the photos of i took of amaryllis were this good! anyone know how the 50/2 macro does bokehwise? i recall reading that macros are generally harsh (90/2 zuik being an obvious exception)

Bokeh is superb. Very effective use of selective focus makes the foreground flower stand out.

Outside flowers are a bear to shoot. A hand on the stem out of the frame often helps. Nice bokeh, but here, too, I'd have used a little less DOF.
