Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) A nice moody shot. Not only the foreground works well, but the background is great too!

Comment left by: Chris (no e-mail specified) Nicely done. Of course I have particular admiration for seagulls as they are such wonderful aviators ...

Comment left by: Wiliam (wiliam@orange.nl) Allthough you had to come quite close to this gull it seems very much at ease.

Comment left by: photographer (no e-mail specified) Yes William he was very calm..a good model:)

Comment left by: iwert (no e-mail specified) mmmmh, makes me want to switch places, this bird is very much at ease, nice "northern" colours as well!
Maybe you should try to crop it a bit more central though, would make it even stronger I think.

Comment left by: Graeme Pow (no e-mail specified) Don't crop; I think the composition is fine as it is. I like the mood of this shot, the choppy sea and the silhouette of the island in the background, and especially the way the light has highlighted those two drops of water on the seagull's beak.
