Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Excellent shot!
It could perhaps have done with a little bit tighter zooming, but the shot is great, very well done!

Comment left by: Johann (no e-mail specified) One starts wondering what happened to the rider. Good shot!

Comment left by: Chris (no e-mail specified) Well done! What happened to the photographer ...?

Comment left by: Russ Butler (rbinnj@verizon.net) Awesome shot! Tell us more.

Comment left by: Mike (usher99@aol.com) Nice capture. Can almost feel the concussion from his trot. Looks like a powerful draft with large bones/feathering---probably a bay roan. Sometimes these guys are so big that few saddles fit.
Well done.

Comment left by: Bob Whitmire (bwhitmire@adelphia.net) Powerful shot. Caught me right away. Good work.

Comment left by: Wiliam (wiliam@orange.nl) Really powerfull shot. I don't mind that it isn't cropped closer. Is it a Belgian or Zeeuws trekpaard?

Comment left by: jafsc (no e-mail specified) Strong! Powerful shot and just at time...Wonderful moment of force and freedom.

Comment left by: Graeme Pow (no e-mail specified) By jings! I could almost feel a fight-or-flight response when I saw this shot as that horse is heading towards you at quite a rate. It's got a real sense of movement and drama.

Comment left by: marc simon (no e-mail specified) more details now than the anonymity is lifted:
Wiliam is right, it's a "Belgian draught horse", not sure if it's a "Brabançon" or an "Ardennais"... a Stalion...which could explain the impression of power.
As I said, I made the picture as soon as I saw it, I made a second picture closer (zoom at 169mm eq:338mm) 2 seconds latter, but he was "out of the dirt" and I find this image less powerful and one second latter he have stopped his run
