Technical information:	Used the 90 mm to have a chance of hand holding at a slower speed to achieve adequate DOF while chasing these critters as well as to include some background. There was minimal post processing with a 10% crop off the bottom.
Subject information:	Early one morning the Monarchs arrived for their breakfast. This monarch image was captured before he had his AM zinnia latte or was warmed by the morning sun and thus seemed to cooperate with posing. Lined up the background as to avoid a color clash and waited for him to turn his wings towards the light and parallel to the film plane as much as possible. Walt seemed to like lepidoptera as they were featured in two of his TOPE shots.

Nice composition, and I also like the many yellows and oranges all throughout the entire picture.

The background colors and the smooth bokeh really makes the butterfly stand out. I like the framing of the shot as well.
