Technical information:	It was getting quite dark so I was stuck with a large aperture, My partner was cold so I was rushing to take some shots, however I did use a tripod for once.
Subject information:	Of all the pictures this month this one stood out because of the mainly two tone look with the exception of the bright orange freshly cut wood a simple but bright colour.

Siddiq: yes it is. For those of us in colder environments this is a very familiar sight, but I guess you don't see this often in California. ;)

This is what I hoped made it interesting picture, I had not seen it before although my wife thought I was pushing the limits for a colour tope and maybe she was right

Colors isn't always 'flashing' in magentas or blues :) I like the contrast and the whole natural scene of a cold day in the bordeer of a river...
