Technical information: Raw file "computed" in Lightroom
Subject information: I've never seen this bird on the lawn...I've seen sometimes other like "him" knocking on a tree ...but this one was really close of the house and searching "food" probably in the lawn...I've made my picture through a window and as it have rained a lot before the window was not really "crystal clear"... so the picture is not as sharp as I would have liked,...anyway...

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) That bird would be (literally) a "green woodpecker" (translated literally from Dutch). You don't see them too often over here, so you were lucky to see one in your garden!

Comment left by: Wiliam (wiliam@orange.nl) I have had the same bird visiting my lawn at least three times this last winter. I was also quite confused as it is supposed to search for food in trees only. Nice shot.

Comment left by: Chris (no e-mail specified) That's a lovely bird beautifully captured.

Comment left by: Noël POLIS (no e-mail specified) Really nice, well done, a beautiful picture.

Comment left by: Jose Adolfo Segura (jafsc@sympatico.ca) Great capture. Colors are very 'nuanced' and with natural subtlities here .. the blurred portion in the top is a little bit distracting, I'd crop it; but it is yet a nice shot!
