Technical Info: Image taken around 8:30 am shooting straight up into the branches of a Flowering Dogwood in full bloom.
Subject Information: One of the first signs of Spring in my area is the Flowering Dogwood. These small, inconspicuous trees, that like to hide in the under story of larger trees< will burst forth in flower in the early Spring even before their leaves have emerged.

Comment left by: Chuck Norcutt (no e-mail specified) I really like this shot for its near monochrome look and great bokeh. Just as a technical point, what we normally consider the petals of the flower on flowering dogwood are actually bracts (a modified leaf). The flower is just the small yellow/green central portion.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) Also nice composition.
