Me and My Shadow

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Ian Wilcox
Title: Me and My Shadow
Gear used: E-3 + 12-60mm
Diaphragm: f8 at focal length 35mm
Shutter speed: 1/400s
Film used: Digital at iso 100 at -0.3ev
Technical information: Looking around my Inlaws garden for pictures I spotted the shadow on the path so I wondered if it would make an interesting picture. The picture is as is just resized for tope, I didn't want to play with colours as I have a monitor which I have not calibrated correctly yet, it looks wonderful on that but also quite good on my older monitor.
Subject information: I had really forgotten about this tope until I saw Olaf's email on the list so I quickly scanned through my photos taken during the period and narrowed it down to four, I then asked my wife and a couple of colleagues at work to pick the best which narrowed it down to two, then we all decided that this one was the slightly more unusual of the two. I took it whilst looking around my Inlaws garden for pictures after lunch. I spotted the shadow on the path and wondered if it would make an interesting picture.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) That's a funny shot: it really does look like the flower is gazing at its own shadow. :)

Comment left by: Chuck Norcutt (no e-mail specified) Interesting shot but looks underexposed on my monitor which is calibrated. Improves with a little shadow/highlight control.

Comment left by: Jose Adolfo Segura (no e-mail specified) As real a 'dialog' :) Well spot it, shadow do the pig, imho
