Subject information:	I was on a tour of the Normandy beaches with some of my students. Here is a detail from the Canadian Memorial on Juno beach. It was taken with my E-3 and 12-60. With its forward stance and broad shoulders it signifies waves of soldiers moving onward, like the sea.

Thankyou for this one. If Vimy Ridge (WW1) was Canada's coming of age as a world nation, Normandy was our confirmation. Very well composed shot, it is very fitting to the subject.
