Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Excellent!
I normally am not much into B/W pictures, but this low-key shot is simply great! I read that you cropped the shot; interesting, as I could have wished to see the feet of the dancer too, but perhaps the composition wouldn't be as powerful then, as it is now...
Either way: great shot, very nice!

Comment left by: J.A.Segura (no e-mail specified) Nicely gotten. Contrary to Olaf, I love so much B&W shots. This one is very strong and a magnificent use of lighting

Comment left by: the photographer (no e-mail specified) @ olaf: thank you! unfortunately, the feet of the dancer were not in the original shot either, i was at an angle from the stage, and i was focusing on her face and body, forgetting the feet. but if it makes any difference, she was barefoot.

@ wayne: thank you! unfortunately, the lighting was horrible, both the dancers and the audience complained about it, so i did what i could with it.

@ j.a.: thank you! i love b/w too, i shoot monochrome when i can or grayscale later. this was b/w from camera.

Comment left by: siddiqs sis aka yatu (no e-mail specified) this is one of my absolute favs so pretty

Comment left by: Andrew Fildes (afildes@people.net.au) Feet not necessary - it's about the line of the arms and body.
This one is worth wall space.

Comment left by: siddiq (no e-mail specified) +1

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) I agree, this is a very powerful photograph; despite the high contrast you have retained lots of detail in the clothing. This shot is all about grace, power, line, and action frozen for a moment. Feet absolutely not needed.
