Title: Beaumont Hamel
Gear used: E1, 14-45 f3.5-5.6, Sandisk Ultra 11 2G CF
Diaphragm: f3.5
Shutter speed: 1/1600
ISO: 100
Technical information: Developed from RAW in Lightroom 2
Subject information: Beaumont Hamel British Cemetery. The slope on the left is the Remblai, which protected the German wire from shelling and caused holdups and casualties for the British in both July and November attacks on Beaumont Hamel. I took better shots, but not within the shooting period.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) An impressive shot, even if photographically spoken it may not have been your best shot of the cemetery (as you write). I also like the many leading lines that seem to -railway like- converge into a distant point beyond the horizon.

Comment left by: Martyn Smoothy (no e-mail specified) Be interested to see the better shots - this ones not too bad... :-)

Comment left by: The photographer (no e-mail specified) Martin, the others are now up on the website, but if I tell you the URL, I'd have to kill you...

Comment left by: Chris (no e-mail specified) I think it's a good one. Colour, composition and exposure are all right for me.
