Subject note: There are two iconic Minuteman statues.  The Concord statue by Daniel Chester French is of a farmer with one hand on a plow, and the other holding the barrel of a vertical musket, its stock on the ground.  The Lexington statue is of a militiaman at the ready.  Dedicated in 1900, the Lexington Minuteman statue has stood sentry for about 39,600 nights and days at the time of this photo.
