Transillumination

Comments made by the photographer

Subject information: Fernando Gonzalez Gentile
Title: Transillumination
Gear used: Tripod mounted 65 ~ 116 Telescopic Extension Tube, Zuiko 135mm 1:4,5 Macro, Olympus OM 4 on Spot reading mode, Winder 2, Eyecup 1.
Diaphragm: f5,6
Exposure: About 2 seconds.
Technical Information: Bunch of flowers illuminated by a street lamp just on the opposite side but several meters away.
Lamp has a strong yellow cast, and the flowers are saturated yellow at daylight.
Magnification about 1:10.
Several spot readings mainly in the darker area, hope less than eight :-)
Subject Information: These are the yellow flowers of the tree which grows in front of my house.
It was a windy night, so I had to 'feel' the rhythm of the blow before pressing the shutter; tried twice and was lucky on both.
Preferred this one because of the pattern of light holes within the bunch of flowers.

Comment left by: Wiliam Wagenaar (wiliam@orange.nl) You acchieved a great effect with relatively simple setup. I very much like the light around the branches or stems.
