Moonlit Menai

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Roger Wesson
Title: Moonlit Menai
Gear used: E420 + 14-42mm
Diaphragm: f/4
Shutter speed: 30 seconds
Technical information: Lens was at 14mm
Subject information: On a wild windy night in north Wales I was trying to get my new Olympus E420 to work. The icy winds were steadily numbing my fingers, and I couldn't get the thing to take any photos of the moonlit view over to Anglesey from Caernarfon. I was on the point of pitching the camera into the sea in frustration when I worked out how to switch it to manual focus. In the brief interval between getting the camera to work and losing all sensation in my fingers, I managed to get this photo.

Comment left by: Wiliam Wagenaar (wiliam@orange.nl) I really like the moving clouds here.

Comment left by: Martyn Smoothy (no e-mail specified) Like the cloudscape & the silhouette of the trees very much – do think it would be improved by cropping the light from the left edge.

Comment left by: siddiq (no e-mail specified) agreed, the moving clouds are really great, and ditto what Martyn said.
