Gear used: OM-4Ti + 38/2.8 macro + Telescopic tube + T10
Diaphragm: f 11
Shutter speed: 1/60
Film used: Fujichrome sensia
Technical information: Simple TTL Auto Flash, scanned with a ES-10. No descratching needed as the subject itself is scratched more than any slide I have ever seen ...
Subject information: As I am desperately waiting for the TOPE event on macro, I tried to get ahead of things and submit a macro shot for this event. I just bought a T10 ringflash the day before and tried it on some different subjects. This one seemed abstract enough ...

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Poor old Trixie will indeed last one more year in this form, then we'll have to see if she'll make a reappearance.
Funnily enough one of the ideas I had for this TOPE event was pretty much the same as this picture, but I decided to choose a different idea.

Comment left by: Hans van Veluwen (no e-mail specified) Trixie? Isn't it Juultje as she appeared on the stuiver?

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Ooops!
I stand corrected :)
I was thinking of a Trixie, as the Trixies are abstract drawings, which is why I was considering shooting such a Trixie (for the record: I did take a macro shot of a cut-out of our 50 guilder bill, as that also has abstract art on it).
So, here I am, not recognising our own queen, duh! Just don't tell this to 'lil Bernhard...;)

Comment left by: Ian Nichols (iann@argonet.co.uk) That's so abstract I didn't see the outline of the face until I looked at the thumbnail for the second time!

Comment left by: Hans van Veluwen (no e-mail specified) Fortunately we'll never have to look at the 'W.A. van Buren' version; his face wouldn't fit anyway, not even on the knaak ;)

However, Maxima will sorely be missed...

Comment left by: george (george@whitneygallery.com) This is great. I had no clue what it was til I read some of the comments below. Could have been ice or double exposure or...
Now that I know what it is, just wanna say- she's better lookin than Ben Franklin!

Comment left by: Barry H (bhinderks@sprint.ca) I like it!!!

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) I'm pleased I figured out what it was! Great shot and the scratching obscures the face to such an extent she looks like a ghost. Subtracted or Abstracted?

Brian
