Technical information: Camera on a tripod with the head inverted. Subject placed on a mat on the floor, illuminated by two 12v tungsten lamps. Filter 80B used to correct colour balance.
Subject information: Char-grill, peel. Boil. Pour.

I would not be surprised to see such a picture on a wall in an abstract art exposition in a museum!

When the time comes, I definitely want more information on how this was posed. What is that stuff on the plate, and what is a Wedgewood 6-burner?

Comment left by: Alasdair Mackintosh (no e-mail specified) Not really a "guess the subject" shot, but more of a "spot the reference to an abstract painting."

The black lines are strands of pasta (the kind that has squid-ink added to make it dark) while the red and orange solid areas are grilled peppers, skinned and cut to the appropriate size.

Our old 6-burner twin-oven gas stove, that we bought back from California, was made by Wedgewood.
