Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Lex Jenkins
Title: Down is up
Gear used: OM-1 MD, Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2.8-3.5 varifocal at 90mm
Diaphragm: f/3.5
Shutter speed: Unrecorded but fast enough to allow handholding.
Film used: Fuji Superia Xtra 800
Technical information: I wanted the shallowest possible depth of field to isolate a portion of the image and to require a bit of examination to identify the objects in the image.
Subject information: Wouldn't that be telling? Okay, it's a self-filling livestock waterer.

Comment left by: Lex (lexjenkins@hotmail.com) Hmm...deceptively boring, yet somehow tedious...

Comment left by: Alasdair Mackintosh (vanda@dtn.ntl.com) Can't help feeling that this would have been a brilliant entry in the "Bokeh" TOPE, but that it's not really abstract. Effective, nonetheless, with the blurred tool handles adding interest to the background.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) I like the composition and balance.

It works very well and would hang well on a wall.

Brian
