Lowcountry Autumn

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Charlie Geilfuss
Title: Lowcountry Autumn
Gear: Olympus E-500 with Zuiko DZ 12-60
Technical information: Handheld shot at ISO 400, f3.5, 1/50 second
Subject Information: Fall colors come very late to the coastal Lowcountry; typically early to mid-December. This little oasis of woods/ pond is in the middle of my neighborhood. Interesting mix of deciduous trees (Chinese Tallow, Sweet Gum and Maple) with a few evergreens (Virginia Live Oak, Shortleaf Pine). There was a belted Kingfisher buzzing about this morning but he wouldn't sit still long enough for a portrait.
