Title: Emily
Gear: E-P2 with home made lens (40mm f2.8)
Diaphragm: f2.8
Speed: 1/200 @ 200 iso - Available light (window)
Technical info: The homebrew lens is a Robot 38mm f2 with the original Schneider elements removed (badly fogged) and replaced the lens assembly from an old Pentax (Optio?) film compact making it a 40mm f2.8. Converted to mFT mount and as pretty as anything. Unexpectedly sharp too. Slight graininess due to one stop underexposure (I'll be ready for that next time!)
Subject info: Emily is a good model, a very good photographer and an excellent make-up artist too (Her father is an MUA for a TV station). She's been shooting professionally since she was 13yo.! Dream girl!

Comment left by: Brian Swale (no e-mail specified) What a great shot! Excellent lighting, with just enough shadow to add interest and a sense of dimension.
Emily has not only posed very well (head and eye directions, and the hint of a nice smile), but the colour combinations (red lips, cheeks, headscarf) add another interesting dimension to compliment the B&W theme. And of course not overlooking the pearlescent glow of flawless skin which has been captured very well.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) This shot reminds me somewhat of the movie American Beauty, in which the colour red is omnipresent, and is boosted a lot. Emily's scarf, lips and nails also slightly show this effect in an otherwise not very saturated colour setting. It would be interesting to see what this shot would have looked like if a didymium filter would have been used.
Nice one!
