I have a different take on this. It's composition and use of out-of-focus elements are impeccable. But portrature is about the subject, after all, and this says two contrasting things to me. First, what an alert, prototypical portrait of a cat. Second, I would *not* want this--or any--cat to be ten times my size: I'd be history. The combination of sweetness and the hunter make this picture for me.

This is the second picture here that drew me right to the eyes!! It's almost like the cat is looking right back at me! Are the eyes really that green, or is it reflection from the plant? Nice picture - this one is a keeper!

Although I've never used it, this must be a more ideal subject for Velvia than human portraits, the colours on the cat are great!
