Submitted by: Charles Packard
Title: T. C. Wackenbush
Equipment: OM-1, 35-70/3.5~4.8, hand held.
Exposure: Unrecorded.
Film: Kodak EliteChrome 200 ASA.
Technical Information: Out of the few portraits I took, this image is my favorite.
I've always had trouble exposing for dark subjects. Either the images are too dark to show details, or too light and look washed out. But this time I got close to being right. One reason for submitting this image.
Subject Information: Mr. Wackenbush hunkered down on a flat rock at a local park. Although he is not exactly people. He is intelligent and has me well trained. (seriously) And he is photogenic. Another reason for submitting this image for TOPE 5.

Comment left by: Barry Bean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Nice shot. Wish the leash wasn't there.

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor He wishes the leash wasn't there too!

Comment left by: John Pendley (jpendley@mail.tds.net) I seem to be disagreeing with a lot of people tonight. I love the leash! T.C. is clearly a domesticated animal (if that's not an oxymoron), but he's as alert and interested and expectant as if he were in the wild. I really like what the contrast between the leash and his expression tell me about our pets. I almost didn't open this image from the thumbnail, but boy, am I glad I did. He's *alive*, and you got it!

Comment left by: Jim Caldwell (jimcaldwell@iname.com) Dark fur IS difficult to meter and you've captured it perfectly in this shot! As a dog lover - I'm glad to see a dog get some equal time here!

Comment left by: John Wheeler (wheelej@one.net.au) I liked the natural background and the way you got the black fur. You've captured the alert expression nicely.

Comment left by: Jodi Jakeway (jjakeway@iserv.net) I really like the 'expression' on T.C.'s face.....and you've exposed perfectly!

Comment left by: Charles Packard (packardc@hiwaay.net) An intelligent friend and truly loyal companion.
You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
May God find you an angel worthy of your love.
