Submitter's name: Mike Butler
Title: Finally it's my birthday
Gear used: OM-1n + Tokina ATX 28-85/F3.5-4.5 + T20 + Recordata Back 4
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Film Used: Costco 200 ASA (Agfa?)
Technical information: Candid shot, hand held. Flash set to Auto
Subject information: This was the morning of my youngest daughter's first birthday party. Pictured are my wife Angela and our youngest Nicole. Now I have a really good answer for all those people who ask "When are you going to celebrate your daughter's birthday?". Being a Leap day baby this seems to be a major concern to people. Well due to typical child hood illnesses we ended up postponing the party almost a month. So in the future the answer will be "When ever we get around to it".

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) A leap year kid... Wow, that's not seen too often!
So, assuming she was born on February 29th 1996, she still has to see her first "real" birthday party, right? :)

Comment left by: John Pendley (jpendley@mail.tds.net) I'd crop it closer to emphasize those wonderfully happy expressions--in fact, it seems that *everyone* involved is proud and happy. As usual, I'm a softy for a child's smile--and a mother's; that's the only reason I'd move in a little. I can see you're a proud papa, and with reason!

Comment left by: Steve Goss (steveg3@flash.net) I see the cropping suggestion, and raise some bokeh.
Putting the picture on the wall more out of focus would also help emphasize your subject.
