Lisa - March 2001

Comments made by the photographer

Submitters Name : John O'Regan
Title: Lisa - March 2001
Gear Used: OM30 + 135/2.8 available light indoors
Diaphragm: f2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/64
Film Used: Jessops PAN400S at 800 iso
Technical Information: I was testing out a new (to me) OM30 body. I had to push the film slightly to get anything like a decent exposure time. The picture is not full frame but cropped to remove indoor paraphernalia. I am also learning Photoshop at this stage.
Subject Information: Lisa, aged three and a half, is my first grandchild. She loves being photographed and will play to the camera, but this time I caught her unawares.

Comment left by: Barry Bean (bbbean@beancotton.com) 1/64?

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Hmmm, I hadn't particularly noticed the 1/64th second shutter speed, but I take it that it is the _exact_ value of what is known as the 1/60th seconds shutter speed. IOW: 64 is a power of 2, 60 is not. Perhaps the submitter was getting at that?

Comment left by: John O'Regan (no e-mail specified) 1/64 was a misprint - s/b 1/60
