Subject information: Out for a walk from our posh hotel on a weekend break. She doesn't do 'posing', so you just have to take what you get...

That's OK about the "posing." This would be classed as an "informal" or perhaps an "environmental" portrait. A formal one works to capture a flattering likeness. I prefer environmental ones because they make statements about people beyond what the look like. Fiona looks very relaxed and the expression very natural; it's what makes this one work so well. Excellent placement along a 1/3 line in the frame; much more powerful than dead center.
