Comment left by: siddiq (no e-mail specified) oooooh, love the glossy sheen on the petals, like they're laquered!

Comment left by: Dave Bulger (david_bulger@austintx.net) The texture of the tulip almost looks like silk. Great job capturing it!

Comment left by: andrew fildes (afildes@netlink.com.au) The Edward Weston approach to the tulip? Very sensual and subtle indeed.

Comment left by: John A. Lind (jlind@netusa1.net) Olafo *is* in heaven with the number of tulips here. My first thought was a silken sheen on the petals also. Excellent use of lighting to accentuate this texture, and to isolate it from the very low key background. With its red color, the tulip leaps out at the viewer from the image. At the same time, the subtle color gradations are very well preserved. Wondering what film you used for this. Very nice composition and preservation of sufficient DOF this close. Well done.
