Submitter's name: Siddiq (AKA: Acer Victoria)
Title: Bangles.
Equipment used: OM-1n, Zuiko 50mm f/3.5 Auto-Macro at minimum focus, tripod, table lamp.
Exposure: 1/4 second @ f/16, MLU & tripped by self timer.
Film: Kodak B&W+400 @ EI200 for shadow detail.
Digitizing: Neg scanned in local camera store on Kodak Photo Station w/ Nikon LS-2000. Resize, slight levels adjust, Sharpen & Sharpen Edges (as per manager's recommendation for this image), Save For Web.
Subject Info: Some silver (?) bangles on velvet, for their interesting textures, lit from above & right by table lamp; perhaps I should have diffused the light. Photo doesn't do them justice.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) This is a picture which has a tremendous amount of detail, for me the glimmering bracelets and the darkish composition with the nice highlights make this a fine shot!
It's also interesting to see a B/W macro shot for once :)

Comment left by: Dave Bulger (david_bulger@austintx.net) I like this a lot. Lots of detail. I think the light source was perfect -- direct enough to bring out the detail in the bracelets but not so direct as to make the shot harsh or overly contrasty.

Comment left by: Joel Wilcox (jowilcox@blue.weeg.uiowa.edu) Nothing much to say but I like it.

Comment left by: Chris Barrett (drchrisbarrett@netscapeonline.co.uk) I agree with Dave, the point source of light really shows the shape well. Nice use of monochrome.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (imagopus@threeshoes.co.uk) Lovely shot and good idea.
