Subject information:	Common Garden Spider in the back yard taking a lunch break. I got 5 shots of the event beginning with the grasshopper getting in the web,being quickly wrapped up in the silk cocoon then finally being bitten. Nature at work.

Outstanding! Another great registration of a "small tragedy of life". You've got to feel a bit sorry for the grasshopper (geez, these spiders sure look scary at high magnifications ;) ), but this is an excellent "nature action shot", and it's easily one of my favourites in this gallery!

Great shot. I love that you noticed this. I think it clealy shows what Macro is about. Good DOP to get the detail and black background.

You got it just right, IMHO. Nicely composed, frame-filling shot with excellent lighting and detail. Well done! (And I don't feel sorry for the grasshopper at all - if it weren't for spiders, the human race would have been hounded off the face of the earth by our little six-legged friends!)

Great shot - and handheld!! The lighting is perfect and I like the way the subjects stand out from the background. I do wish the web stood out a little better - but that is nit-picking!
