Lady in red.

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Piotr Zgodzinski
Title: Lady in red.
Gear used: OM-G + 35/2.8 + three close-up lenses (+1, +2, +4, HAMA IV, coated).
Diaphragm: f8
Shutter speed: 1/500
Film used: Fuji Super G (SHG II) ISO 200.
Technical information: Handheld, no flash. Bright sun, 3 p.m.
The ugly stripes you'll find in the upper-right corner of the photo are not due to "scanner moire" effect. Rather, it is the fence made of wire-netting. I noticed it too late, when looking at the print.
Subject information: This plant is called 'pigwa' in Poland and this word is feminine. That's why the title is 'Lady in red'.
This spring I realised that my garden is full of subjects I wanted to have photographed.
Other work: If you like this photo, you can take a look at some other pictures here in my photo gallery.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) I indeed wondered what caused the "maze structure" effect in the picture; it's a little bit distracting, but apart from that, it's a great picture with nice red tones.

Also, I encourage you all to take a look at Piotr's gallery, for there is some great work there.
Piotr: I hope you're going to add those great portrait shots you shared with me off-list to the gallery too, as these are excellent shots.
