Subject information: Several people were playing a ball game in kayaks, something like basketball with the basket hanging from the bridge I was standing on. This shot was selected from several I took and shows a little more movement than the others.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Seems like a difficult game. You're right: the motion blur on the left paddle shows the action of the players involved.

Comment left by: Mickey Trageser (no e-mail specified) I think this shows the competitive nature of our society. No matter what the common interest that draws us together, we devise a way to compete and play. The 'V' on the left kayak is mimmicked in reverse by the angle of the kayaks, and the crossing of the paddles. An arc on the left looks like it could mate with the movement of the left paddle. Both crafts seem to have a wisp of water at the tail to emphasise the competing forces. An interesting composition.
