Enchantress

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Hans van Veluwen
Title: Enchantress
Body: Olympus OM-4Ti
Lens: Zuiko 18mm/F3.5
Aperture: F8
Shutter speed: 1/60
Film: Fuji RDPIII (Provia 100F)
Flash equipment: Four Olympus T32 flashes with the Colour Filter Set T32 - blue on the background, red from the left, green from the right and yellow from the rear. All four flashes connected with five TTL Auto Cords T (among them a shoe cord) and a TTL Auto Multi Connector. Flashes controlled in Auto TTL OTF mode.
Filter: Cokin Diffractor Cosmos, Size A, hand-held in front of the lens.
Technique: The two sculptures and the three glass candle lights were placed on a roll of silver metallic foil which also served as the background. The camera on tripod was placed at the minimum focusing distance of the Zuiko 18mm (25cm). The flashes with colour filters were placed on tripods using two cold shoes and two TTL Auto Connectors T20. Around the rear flash with the yellow filter, providing the hair light, a piece of black cardboard was positioned to prevent the light entering the lens. I shot a full roll with different settings of the exposure compensation dial, with and without various effect filters in front of the lens, and various flash colour filters. I picked this shot because of the nice coloured reflections and the extra colours from the Cosmos Filter.

You really pulled all the flash goodies out of 'em OM cabinets for this one. It looks like an angel in a fairy tale dream, I like it.
