Technical information:	Exposure calculated based on flash guide number as I knew TTL auto would be way off for this shot. There was very little detail in the black on the original transparency and with the reduced dynamic range of the scanner all detail was lost - just the effect I was looking for. It was impossible to focus so I just estimated and set the distance, so not as sharp as I'd like.

Great idea well done. It's not easy to focus in the dark and to estimate correctly the exposure on a slide. Nice composition too.

Great! I think the picture is sharp enough Nice effect with the hand separated from the head. Lighting very well mastered. To be nitpicking: a pity the wrist is not cut-off with a straight line.

Ooooopps, at times when people don't send in the "submitter's name" part, I copy it across from a different entry (in this case mine), after which I manually set the correct name. I must somehow have missed out on doing the latter part for this entry. :) Sorry. Mistake undone. :)

Another image that really stands out in the main gallery page. (I agree that the focus isn't absolutely spot on, but if you were truly perfect, no-one would want to talk to you.) Well done.
