Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Like the starburst effect through the trees.

Comment left by: Mike Cormier (no e-mail specified) The perspective lines created by the tire marks on the road are positively "golden"... (pun intended *wink*) But seriously, I really like this shot. I REALLY need to pick up a 21/2. I keep wondering what this shot would have looked like with fill flash on the rock face and a pol filter to bring out the blues in that sky...

Comment left by: siddiq (no e-mail specified) i'm sure scott and other listies in the area will agree this looks exactly like Ca. Hwy 38 a few minutes from my place.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) The lines on the road give an impression of "speed"

Comment left by: John A. Lind (no e-mail specified) This one has a lot working together in it that pulls the eye very quickly into the image. Wayne mentioned the lines on the road. The perspective near the edges formed by using the 21mm super-wide is what pulls my eye in and the road enhances it. Very nice use of the guard rail and road perspective that puts the vanishing point at the rule-of-thirds positioning of the sun disc. Timing was perfect. This is one that grabs attention from a distance. Excellent exposure looking into the sun.

For Mike's benefit:
A POL won't do anything to deepen the sky looking directly into or away from the sun. Only works on sky at about right angles to the sun (northern and southern sky quadrants).

Comment left by: Scott Gomez (no e-mail specified) My first reaction was "I know this spot." Then I noted it was taken in Colorado. As Siddiq mentioned, this is very like some places around this area. The sunlight adds just enough warmth and brightness to change this from what could have been drab and boring to a shot that's very engaging. Very good timing.

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor Nice spot, nice shot! You could have moved a little to lose that top left foliage and get the top of the top right tree? I wonder if you have another shot with a car / bike / dog /... in it?

Comment left by: Mickey Trageser (no e-mail specified) Let's see, Golden morning in Golden Colorado, where they brew a golden brew, captured on Kodak Gold 200. You captured a golden moment, for sure. Nice!
