Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Beautiful colors - seems more like an autumn shot. Is the horizon off square just a hair?

Comment left by: Walt Wayman (hiwayman@mynra.com) Beautiful shot; looks like a painting. But I agree that it appears to have a slight tilt toward the right.

Comment left by: W Shumaker (rlist@zuik.net) Nice shot. I like water reflections and wonder what ths shot would look like aimed lower. But then you would loose the nice curve in the tree line.

Comment left by: John A. Lind (no e-mail specified) The "horizon" does look off, but only very slightly and it's easily corrected either with the scan or, if it's off in the film frame itself, it can be when printed, mounted and matted. I've done this myself a few times. Excellent red and yellow colors, and a nice pattern of the trees. The closer framing the left edge leave me wanting to see around the bend in the canal. Not necessarily a Bad Thing; leaves a mystery for the viewer. Wondering if you were on a bridge or on the canal bank (no bridge). I've found water usually calmer for reflection early in the morning versus late afternoon. Obviously the light direction would shift by nearly 180 degrees though and in this view it would not work. However, it's something to consider (using dawn light directions) when looking for a view to make use of water reflections from lakes, canals, etc., at some later time.

Comment left by: Jez Cunningham (no e-mail specified) Oops - it tend to agree with the comments on the horizon; I thought the trees looked vertical but when you look at their reflections too there is a definite tilt. I have a 30" x 20" on the living room wall that looks great - I wonder if the printer straightened it?
Thanks to all for your comments.
Jez
