Seems like Belgium to me... so the sky was full of clouds before the rain... the very graphic use of the "saule tétard" (that's the name of the tree... used to drain out water from the fields...)

Stephan: You guys in Belgium use trees for draining water out of fields?!? I guess you're right about the location then, for if this shot would have been taken in The Netherlands the trees would have been windmills. :)

I like the strip of worked ground in the foreground. How do you use trees to drain fields? Carve them into ditchers?
