Subject Info:	Various problems left me one day to shoot my entry. Weather forecast was promising. They lied. This is from the top of Ben A'an in the Trossachs. It's freezing, windy and wet. I shot most of a roll of K25, one or two are OK, but this one just caught my eye. At least something is happening...

I like the colors and the composition. This is an example of a shot that doesn't jump out at thumbnail size (as some of the entries do) but repays closer examination. It would probably look even better up another size or two.

So that's what the Trossachs look like!! I often wondered. This reminds me of steaming rocky outcrops in active geothermal areas, but from what you said, the temperatures were quite different. Damp cold mist clinging to the forest despite the driving wind. Very evocative of a tough place to be.

I like the feel of this photo and the subtle colors. The composition draws your eye out but I wish there was more of the sky.
