Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Nice collection of elements. I wish the sky were a little better defined, but the water, hillside, docks hidden in cattails(?), house, and trees all do a nice job of conveying a sense of place. Looks like a nice spot for a morning walk.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Very peaceful image, I like the line of posts

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) A classic 'framed' shot. Beautiful colours.
A complete picture. A photograph to be proud of.

Comment left by: John A. Lind (no e-mail specified) I agree with Barry. This is a very natural looking pastoral setting with much subtelty to its composition. Not only do the line of vertical fence posts emanate from the tree trunk used for framing, the more distant horizontal rails reinforce the horizon line. I very much like the slight left positioning of the distant buildings as they balance the mass of the tree. An excellent combination of man-made structure with nature. It looks as if it all belongs together; mutually supportive without any competition, and all done with very good lighting angle.

Comment left by: Roger Key (rdk@dannet.dk) I would just like to say thankyou for the kind and thoughtful comments. I would also have preferred sharper reeds and distance, but I lacked a tripod that day! I must say that I feel very privileged to have so much natural beauty on my doorstep. The lakes and woods go 10 kilometers north to the next town. I have a great morning cycle ride to work too.
