Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) Nice reds...
Must have been a gimmick to scan ;)

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Nice shot - I like the monotone feel. I would have guessed this was a black and white shot converted to black and red in pohotoshop or through toning. Great sense of place and time.

Comment left by: Chung Seow Lim (boochap@pacific.net.sg) yet another good example of a simple standard lens producing beautiful image.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (imagopus@threeshoes.co.uk) Glorious colour - difficult to concoct so it must be natural.

Comment left by: Andy Radcliffe (andyjradcliife@aol.com) Beautiful - I wish our typical mornings were half as spectacular as this image.

Comment left by: Ken N. (no e-mail specified) Looks like the Amsterdam riverfront from the downtown train station.

Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) My... Ken!!!
What do you know about that neighbourhood?!? ;)))

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor I think the composition sucks. The colours are ok i guess -- though I'm sure they look nicer on the actual print. That airplane on the left is distracting and you should have taken a hammer and smashed that light in the lower right hand corner.

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor Er airplane on the right. Aka I bet this is an american city and not amsterdam.

Comment left by: Stephen Scharf (scharfj@ix.netcom.com) Nice photo. Reminds me an awful lot of a view of the Bay Area from Oakland looking west towards Alameda and the S.F./Marin headlands. I would have fixed the light specks and cropped the last little bottom edge of the photo so the little triangular bit at the bottom doesn't intrude on the composition.

Comment left by: Ken N. (no e-mail specified) No, Not THAT neighborhood!

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Nice shot, but I would crop 50% of the sky

Comment left by: Anonymous Visitor Yea -- I thought about cropping the sky out. IN the print it actually adds to the picture with more colour variation in the scan it kind of sucks.

Comment left by: Scott Gomez (no e-mail specified) I'd crop out some sky, also, as well as the little triangular bit at bottom. I'd love to see a good print of this, where the color would undoubtedly be better than we get on screen.

Comment left by: Ken N (no e-mail specified) Which harbor?
