Your dog looks a bit like a wolf on the prowl...

Comment left by: Chris Barker (imagopus@threeshoes.co.uk) Excellent scene, well captured.

Comment left by: john robison (omrobison@yahoo.com) Nice atmosphere, perhaps a tribute to Eugene Smith's "Walk to Pardise Garden"?

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) This shot reminds me of the classic print by W Eugene Smith at the end (page 192) of "The Family of Man" (Edward Steichen for the Museum of Modern Art, 1955; 503 pictures from 68 countries) where two toddlers walk hand-in-hand away from the camera into the future .. or so it seems; on a forest track also opening into a glade.

With this shot however, the dog, with it's head turned away from the camera, makes me look for something else ... as if there's something to wait for. The dog certainly is, so why not me?

The great degree of darkness adds a certain menace to the composition.

This is Landscape With Atmosphere.

Comment left by: Alasdair.Mackintosh (Alasdair.Mackintosh@activerf.com) Vivid composition and nice atmosphere. Perhaps it might be an idea to crop a little bit of the darkness off the edges? There isn't a great deal of detail there. (Then again, that may just be the scanner.) Overall very good.

Comment left by: Roy Talbot (rtalbot@laborready.com) I like how this picture draws your attention to the center of the photo to try and identify the dog - wolf. You wonder what's he looking at that has drawn his attention. Wonder photo for a story book.
