Submitter's name: Daryl Hurley
Title: Windscape
Gear used: OM2n with 85/2 & polarizer
Diaphragm: ?
Shutter speed: ?
Film used: Agfa 100 slide
Technical information: Exposure compensation set to +1
Subject information: Roadside wind sculpted snow drifts. I was not able to get out earlier in the day, so the sun had a chance to warm the drifts up a bit and cause them to sag. I guess we'll just say that adds character to them. I thought about trying to take the color cast out of the snow using photoshop, but decided not to mess with it.

Comment left by: Charles Sdunek (charles@mormons.com) I like the way the sunlight and shadows fall on the snow. As I was scrolling down to leave this comment, I noticed that the photo would also be nice with it cropped right at the top of the snow. Would have looked a lot like those beautiful sand dune pictures we see. Nice work, wish we would have had some snow to work with around here this year.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Like the look of the snow - don't see much of it myself

Comment left by: Warren (wkato@aol.com) Being from S. California I don't really know what snow is but I like the subject matter. But I might have tried a wider angle shot emphasizing the strange snow drifts from the side and making them more like mountains. I would try to lose the wires.

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) Nice abstract shapes. The fence doesn't bother me as much as it does Warren, but I agree that it'd be nice to really fill the frame snow shapes for a faux mountain range.
