Comment left by: Olaf Greve (no e-mail specified) You very nicely depict the "winter feeling" in this shot. I also like the framing provided by the tree on the left.

Comment left by: Mike Cormier (no e-mail specified) Very nice use of the rule of thirds, I think. Reminds me of a Van Gogh sketch... "Study of a Tree".

Comment left by: bbbean (bbbean@beancotton.com) How do I like this? Let me count the ways.....
This is arguably the best use of color (or lack thereof) to convey a sense of place and mood in the exhibit. I also like the asymmetric framing, and the use of a handy concrete post as a tripod.

Comment left by: Brian Swale (bj@caverock.net.nz) I really like the composition, and the way the tree branches ease the visual transition from the dark left to the stark right.

You have also successfully conveyed to the viewer the grimly cold and bleak conditions of the moment.

Great shot.

Comment left by: Chris Barker (imagopus@threeshoes.co.uk) Cold and desolate.... well captured.

Comment left by: Wayne Harridge (no e-mail specified) Great use of a colour film to get a monochrome result

Comment left by: Tiziana (ciaghitiziana@seldati.net) Lyric as ....one painting, I like

Comment left by: Walt Wayman (hiwayman@compuserve.com) I keep coming back to this picture, trying to find something really profound to say about why I like it. I can't think of much to say beyond that I just flat like it. Makes me feel chilly, though.

Comment left by: Richard Man (no e-mail specified) I love misty pictures. This is nice. Have you tried converting to B&W and print it that way?
