Subject information:	Arkansas side of the Mississippi River looking at downtown Memphis.This field is flooded every year and covered in fresh topsoil making it some of the richest soil in the country. Cotton or soybeans will eventually be planted here for harvest in the fall. I picked this photo for its urban/rural landscape combination. I couldn't help but think that some guy plowing that field was looking across the river wishing he was working up in one of those offices at the same time some guy stuck to a desk in one of those offices was wishing he was outside plowing that field.

Wonderful sky! And there's even the Pyramid where Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson finally found a place that would let them get it on. I like the idea -- the picture, not the fight. Interesting juxtaposition.

Hey - a neighbor! When I lived in Memphis, I spent many an afternoon wandering around the AR side. I can just make out my parent's apartment in the pic. Composition-wise, I'd like this a lot more if there were something in the foreground, or possibly a crop in teh field. I'd really like to see the same shot in September or October when the (most likely) soybeans or (less likely) cotton is fully mature. Nice shot!

I liked the Dirt vs Concrete feeling I got when I first saw it. I really wish that the Dirt would win, but they'll probably just haul in a million tons of rocks and build more skyscrapers one day... I also like the diagonal cloud.

I like the juxaposition of rural and urban. Adds some tension. I would have squatted down for the shot to emphasize the forground texture. Or perhaps this was lost in the jpg.
