asakusa souvenir

Submitter's name: Iwert Bernakiewicz
Title: asakusa souvenir
Gear used: OM-4Ti + 40mm f2 + uv filter + shade
Diaphragm: f2.8
Shutter speed: 1/500
Film used: Fuji Sensia 100 ASA
Technical information: This image shows the near macro capabilities of the 40mm f2. shot at a distance of about 35 cm. There was a red plastic roof above giving the extra deep color in the picture, and nice soft light. I chose the 2.8 aperture for an extra shalow dof to create the feeling of being inside the image.
Subject information: This picture was taken at one of the souvenir + candy + ... stalls bordering the street towards the asakusa shrine in Tokyo. Red is the main theme along this street. It is a detail of a bunch of small paper fans with some nice kanji on them stuffed together in a bucket. (which I can't explain about).
