Zuiko 24mm indicative flare test

Down below you can find an indicative comparison of my Zuiko 24/2 (MC) and my 24/2.8 (SC), where flare is concerned. Note that this is only an indicative comparison, and that I did not use a scientifically full-proof test method. Both shots were taken within a minute's time of one another and I tried to frame the picture more or less the same way. Nonetheless, the 24/2 shot is panned a bit further to the left than the 24/2.8 shot, so the latter one might have had slightly different results by including the same amount of sun in the picture as in the 24/2 shot.

Either way, in both pictures I made sure to include the sun directly (in the upper left corner), and both were taken without filters, and using the same exposure. Do also note that these, obviously, are not normal shooting conditions, so normally the difference in flare will be far less extreme.

Shot with OM-4Ti + Zuiko 24/2 MC, single spot exposure, 1/125th second at f4.

Shot with OM-4Ti + Zuiko 24/2.8 SC (black nose, H.Zuiko), single spot exposure, 1/125th second at f4.
