Squirrelly Buddha

Comments made by the photographer

Submitter's name: Moose
Title: Squirrelly Buddha
Gear used: OMPC + Zuiko 90/2
Exposure: 1/60 sec. @ f2.8
Film used: Kodak Portra 160NC
Technical information: Scanned at 2720 dpi on Canoscan FS2710, cropped and adjusted in Photoshop CS, down sampled with FM Web Presentation Pro.
Subject information: I had thoughts of doing wonderful artsy things with old and or colored glass windows or something.

Then I was standing in my kitchen and saw this squirrel trying to find the best spot from which to jump up to the bird feeder. I've seen this occasionally before, but this time I ran for a camera and lucked out. There is no sign in the image that it was shot through a window. It was, but I didn't have any time to figure out how to include the window frame or a reflection. I was lucky to get 2 shots before it moved off the head. Second shot with a 135/2.8 just wasn't very sharp.

I think the Buddha would approve.
